clue display is a six-piece electro-acoustic group of improvisational sound artists. Their sound palette is composed of oscillator frequencies, turntable manipulations, electronic toy glitches, prepared AM/FM radio static, synthesizers, and scrap percussion. They aim to create, through collage and superimposition, transient moments and chance atmospheres. No two performances are alike, and the listener is as likely to hear sublime tones and drones as manic rhythms and cacophonous electron squalls. In many ways, clue display is an exercise in sound creation as ritual,informal and spontaneous, and an embrace of the transformative power of seredipity given free reign.
